StarNav is seeking a Junior/Senior level FPGA engineer with a background in communication or navigation systems. The selected candidate will work with signal processing algorithms and convert them into Verilog/VHDL for use in novel navigation receivers.

Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen

• Work experience with FPGAs

What You’ll Be Doing

• Work alongside digital signal processing engineers to create efficient hardware algorithms

• Design FPGA algorithms using Verilog/VHDL

• Simulate and test FPGA code

• Select FPGAs to satisfy processing requirements

• Demonstrate performance of algorithms using real hardware

• Other duties as needed in related areas

Requirements and proficiencies:

• Full proficiency with FPGA design tools (Xilinx, etc.)

• Proficiency with MATLAB

• Bachelor’s degree in related field with 3+ years of experience working with FPGAs or master’s degree in related field with 1+ year of experience

• Knowledgeable of FPGA and SoC architecture.

• Good knowledge of radio receiver physical layers from RF-to-bits (de-modulators, decoding, equalization, etc.)
